Bob Strandwold
Racing teammates Dave Byrd and Craig Raudman thought they had
prepared for everything that they would need to conquer All American
Speedway and the highly competitive SRL teams that are competing
there this weekend in a special two day show. What they had no
control over was, the rainy California weather that wreaked havoc on
opening day.
The Flashco SRL
Southwest Tour Series postponed the qualifying that was previously
scheduled for Friday until Saturday, due to intermittent rain
showers that essentially plagued practice on Friday also.
“Several times
today things were looking up, then we would fire the engines and it
would start raining!” Byrd laughed. “It really would have been
comical, if there wasn’t so much at stake. Bob Strandwold, my car
owner, and our great marketing partners have invested too much for
us to just be standing around, but what are you going to do?” Byrd
lamented.
Dave, Craig and
the entire Bob Strandwold Racing team will be back at it again on
Saturday, condensing it all into a one day show.
